Administrative/Human Resources Specialist

Summary of Position/Objective:
Administrative/Human Resources
Specialists provide clerical, organizational and coordination support for all
departments. Often the Administrative/Human Resources Specialist is the 1st line of contact. This position will
represent To The Rescue in a positive and professional manner and deal
tactfully with others. The person in this position will exercise good judgment,
patience and be able to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
Help ensure legal compliance of HR state and federal regulations and applicable
employment laws. Promotes development and retention as an advocate for
employees. Champions diversity of thought and culture throughout the
enterprise. Maintains strict confidentiality standards and organizational
integrity.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Reasonable

- Assists with training of
department personnel
- Compiles information, manuals,
training materials and other department documentation in a concise, prompt and
accurate manner
- Attends, participates, and
documents meetings as requested
- Assists managers with inputting
and updating information in When To Work scheduling program
- Prepares reports, spreadsheets
and documentation as needed
- Prepares timecards and
documentation for accounting as needed
- Maintains up to date medical
records
- Assists with marketing and
networking opportunities
- Has working knowledge of
applicable Colorado laws and regulations. Coordinates compliancy programs and
documentation (IDD, Class B)
- Orders and manages supplies,
staying within departmental budget
- Answers incoming calls, directs
to proper parties, provides information on services, makes follow up calls to
customers (potential and current) as needed
- Collects information and
documents from potential and current customers
- Runs required reports and
completes the proper spreadsheets, including the Medicaid Billing spreadsheet
- Fills in as needed in response to
business demands
- Handles and organizes multiple
tasks and projects simultaneously
- Expresses ideas clearly, both
verbally and in writing
- Maintains an orderly work area
- Performs other related duties as
assigned
- Provides support in all human
resource functions within the organization
- Partners in achieving operational
excellence and business plan goals
- Provides an effective and
dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to absence and health
issues, grievance matters, organizational change and all other
employee-relations matter
- Participates in workers
compensation health care provider visits
- Assist in leave administration
- Assists in employee relations
- Maintains flawless employee
record management
- Recruit, screen and hire high
quality talent to support the staffing needs of each department
Competencies/Qualifications/Education:
- Ability to apply principles of
logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical
problems
- Have working knowledge of privacy
laws and regulations
- Communication proficiency
- Teamwork orientation
- Clerical skills and familiarity
with office machines and computers
- Microsoft Office that includes
Word, Excel, Outlook and the ability to learn computer programs for scheduling
and timekeeping. Ability to learn and operate a variety of computer programs
and databases

- Organizational skills and
dedication to completing projects in a timely manner
- Ability to handle sensitive
information with high level of confidentiality and discretion
- Human Resources experience
preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Valid driver’s license and must
be eligible for the agency’s vehicle insurance and provide proof of private
vehicle coverage
Certificates/Licenses/Registration:
The employee shall possess a
valid driver’s license and must be eligible for the agency’s vehicle insurance
and provide proof of private vehicle coverage.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This role will not directly
supervise employees.
