Cleaning Supervisor

Cleaning Supervisor

Responsible for the overall operations of the cleaning department, presenting a professional demeanor both in appearance and communication.  Effectively manage a staff in various settings, specializing in organization and allocation of staffing resources. Adept at resolving customer service issues and ensuring customer satisfaction while overseeing multiple tasks.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Duties include cleaning all areas of a residence/business as requested by the consumer; this includes residential cleaning, commercial cleaning, specialized cleaning projects, moving/organization projects, etc. Must be agile and able to kneel, bend, stand, mount small stepstool or ladder, and move furniture as needed

·         Hire, counsel, and review the performance of all cleaning employees. Ensure cleaning employees are properly trained to do specific aspects of their jobs and have reviewed and understand cleaning manuals, policies and procedures.  Maintain close communication on staffing needs with the direct supervisor

·         Ensure all required paperwork and tracking is completed in a timely manner

·         Complete the weekly schedule (staff and customers) by required deadline

·         Report all new and lost consumers as well as complaints and compliments to direct supervisor

·         Ensure that all department time cards are completed, accurate, and submitted by noon on Monday

·         Review and approve time off requests in When to Work

·         Assist with new customer intakes and initial account set up

·         Makes cleaning confirmation calls and follow up customer satisfaction calls

·         Enter new customers in When 2 Work 

·         Ensure a high level of consumer satisfaction by ensuring cleaning employees are doing a thorough and complete job each time by performing quality assurance checks using the checklist for consistency

·         Receive daily recaps from cleaning staff, forward any exceptional issues to direct supervisor

·         Maintain, order and restock cleaning supplies and equipment

·         Maintain records of all staff training

·         Communicate difficult issues and concerns on a timely basis direct supervisor

·         Keep the MSDS updated

·         All other duties as assigned

 

Competencies/Qualifications/Education:

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Ability to multi-task throughout the day and maintain fast-paced, consistent and thorough cleanings

·         Ability to supervise, direct and communicate with employees working off site

·         High level of organization

·         Motivation to grow and run a high-quality cleaning program

·         Ability to work as the leader of a team

·         Ability and desire to clean houses and businesses

·         Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, clean driving record

 

Work Hours:

Hours are varied depending on the needs of the organization. This may include, but is not limited to days, nights, weekends, and holidays. This position requires hours that exceed a typical 8-hour work day as needed.

Work Environment:

The work environment is consistent with similar office environment settings, external cleaning facilities and client homes.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to hear and speak. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Travel:

Frequent travel within a 25-mile radius is expected for this position. Occasionally travel beyond a 25-mile radius may be required.
