Payroll Coordinator

Summary of position/Objective:

To The Rescue is looking for a Payroll Administrator to be responsible for collecting all payroll information for 200+ employees and submitting to third party payroll service for final payroll processing. The Payroll Administrator’s duties include the management of employee data, computing hours and ensuring accuracy of timesheets from multiple departments. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing employee’s timely answers to payroll related inquiries
  • Collecting and reviewing timesheets
  • Calculating wage and overtime payments
  • Coordinating with the HR department to ensure proper flow of employee data
  • Maintaining PTO and benefits deductions in payroll system
  • Uploading payroll data to payroll system
  • Maintaining detailed procedures of all payroll processes
  • Delivering payroll reports to management
  • Reviewing W-2 information and other year-end reporting for accuracy
  • Working with payroll vendors to resolve any technical issues
  • Providing administrative assistance to the accounting department as needed


Competencies/Qualifications/Education:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information with utmost discretion
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Two plus years of experience performing payroll functions
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance preferred


Certificates/Licenses/Registration:

The employee shall possess a valid driver’s license and must be eligible for the agency’s vehicle insurance and provide proof of private vehicle coverage. 


Supervisory Responsibility:

This role will not directly supervise employees.


Work Hours:

Hours are varied depending on the needs of the organization.  Hours reflect those of typical business hours.
