The Employment Specialist will support all functions of the
Employment and Hourly Program as needed.
Specialist will manage all aspects related to the ongoing implementation of the
Human Service Program. This includes but
is not limited to the quality assurance functions daily on all support
paperwork and documentation to remain compliant with standards set by Iowa
Code, the Social Security Administration, Managed Care Organizations, Iowa
Medicaid Enterprises, and To The Rescue Policies.
Duties and Responsibilities:

documentation as needed for Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services
Interdisciplinary team meetings
as the face of the program and meets with potential employers/follows up on
with job seeker as needed for employment services limiting non-bill time from
good basic work habits for job candidate
onsite analysis of job candidate skills
in orienting job candidate to the employer
current job market as needed
ongoing communication with job candidate and the IDT (Inner disciplinary team)
as a liaison between job candidates and their potential employers
required documentation for services provided
additional duties as assigned
working knowledge of privacy laws and regulations
possess strong leadership skills
have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively
with staff and provide instruction and direction to employees on maintaining
compliance with policies, rules and procedures
with Microsoft Office that includes Word, Excel, Outlook and the ability to
learn computer programs for scheduling and timekeeping.

obtain crisis management and de-escalation skills
have a Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work or related field and/or
four or more years of related experience
The employee shall possess a valid driver’s license and must be
eligible for the agency’s vehicle insurance and provide proof of private
Hours are varied depending on the needs of the organization. This
may include, but is not limited to days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Frequent travel within a 25-mile radius is expected for this
position. Occasionally travel beyond a 25-mile radius may be required,
including out of state travel.
